Obamacare will question your sex life

Not that I give a flying **** about what you of all people think, but yes it's okay with me that my doctor(s) ask the ball park questions that he/she asks about my snooze-fest sex life or lack thereof as it pertains to my medical history. Furthermore, I think it's fantastic that any doctor will be able to electronically review that medical file, medications, etc. if I am incapable of providing them. In fact I am in favor of anything that may be useful if it will keep me on God's green earth as long as possible. If that's crazy, scoot over mamakookoo.....

Have you seen the questions being asked on new patient forms? I have. I find them intrusive. Sure, ask me how many sex partners I've had in the last year, but don't be asking me what positions I do it in and how many times a week and if I orgasm or if I stimulate myself or any other questions that make me think the doctor's office is filled with a bunch of freaky perverts.

So much for me getting email. I must have started a "flag". If I send a picture to a 50+ year old man the response should not take 24 hours to get to me.

A picture of me with my baby blanket? I guess it was better than I thought.

wtf are you talking about?

Well that is boring. :frown:

Everyone of them explains why they are asking and why it was important. Once over the initial embarrassment, it was crystal clear to me that all that was important to them at that very given moment was my health and well being.

yeah, I guess they want be able to proscribe Anti-Depressants for you, if your are distraught over you or your SO NOT satisfying your sexual needs ... you may shoot 12 people in your place of employment .....

I am sorry, I am at the Doctors off for an aching back and swollen joints has not a damn thing to do with how many times my wife and I do it ....

You made me laugh! Thanks! Truce and peace! I still do not want to give too much personal info to the government. It might come back to bite us in the ass some day, so to speak. Has the HIPAA law for protection of privacy been repealed, or just being pushed aside for the sake of an agenda?

In My Opinion
You'll be disappointed to know then that I'm healthy, never been happier, and in all my years of living have never touched a gun and will not have one in my life. You on the other hand, don't sound very happy at all, ever, at any time.

You dont sound very happy, you sorta sound a little depressed and strange

the only person I ever met that wanted to share everything about her sex life was a whore.
I dont need my life on some data base that all the affirmative action doctors have access to.

I can understand not wanting to give this info to your doctors and possibly by extension the government.

On the other hand, between everyone carrying a smartphone on their hip and home internet connection data getting siphoned off to the NSA, they already know all your kinks.

Good points. I don't own a smartphone, but the internet would be my downfall. At the same time, I refuse to cry Uncle to Sam, and will try to make the most beneficial choices for myself and family; whether it be gun purchases, sharing info with med personnel, or giving into doctrine that I don't believe in. I don't remember life being this scary or unsettled under any other POTUS. All administrations have had their ups and downs, but Obama's 15 mins x 2 seems to be out of the ordinary, and that is an understatement.

I have, I've been asked, and I agree the questions are intrusive but I've had the great fortune to have really great doctors. I say doctors because they frequently change at Pax. Everyone of them explains why they are asking and why it was important. Once over the initial embarrassment, it was crystal clear to me that all that was important to them at that very given moment was my health and well being. I'm straightforward with them and they're straightforward with me. I've got to respect that.

So, please explain why its important for the doctors to ask these personal questions? And give an example of a question you had to answer and how you answered it.

After all, once you give this information to a third party (such as your doctor) its fair game for the government. Same goes for online activity. Since you already informed your doctor, why not post it here on the forums?
