They didn't defeat anything, all they did was screw New Yorkers out of jobs.

Amazon is still in business, still rich, still has those jobs for somewhere that is willing to ante up to get them.

Whenever these people complain about the monsters they helped create, I like to point out to them that in fact these are their monsters. I have no illusions that any of them read my comments, but I still feel the need to point out that they're complaining about people they created.
