I'm talking about apples to apples. I'm going shopping today and I guarantee you there will be people behind me in the self-checkout when there's another self-checkout mere steps away with no one at it.

Same. Drives me insane. I purposely park out in the far reaches of the parking lot, no cars around me for dozens of slots. 5 minutes in the store, come back and there is one if not two directly aside my truck.

Possibly, those people do not see the open kiosk? I have seen this multiple times at various stores. People embedded in their cell phones or deep in conversation when a store employee says "Ma'am, there is a register open."
Hell.. people can't even be trusted to drive their car with 100% attention to the task. Do you honestly think they can be trusted to know the moment that a self checkout is available? :killingme

It's the truth about the parking lots! OMG. Every.damn.time.

And, while I'm at it - Yoga. The ENTIRE FREAKING ROOM (which is huge) could be empty or have only a couple of people. And someone puts their mat right behind mine! Within about 3-4'. A MAT might be 6' long. That's not a lot of space in between 2 people.

:twitch: Besides all the other reasons one could surmise, and I don't want to ... WHY. Just WHY do you think you need to be right up my ass when I'm trying to get my zen on? :cds: There's a WHOLE ROOM.

I've been known to turn around and ask them to move back some. I don't care. JFC :rolleyes:

I HATE self checkout but even more for things like, items on discount (labels won't read) vegetables that need weighing, not nearly enough room to organize and the machine keeps telling me to put it on the checkout area - and I HAVE - and water bottles that need to keyed in special. It's exasperating. A good checker can get me through it in seconds. Plus, when the rewards and discounts don't appear as they should, I have to press the damned thing for assistance - and I get it when they get round to me.

Plus, I am chatty. I like to talk to people.

To Harris' credit she interrupted to correct him but he just kept on going and said it two more times. Some Kamala campaign person did this on Dana Perino's show and she just let him go, didn't say a word to correct him.

Weak minds get wrapped around lies pretty easy, and make themselves part of it.

It's like that experiment in the doctor's office where a bell rings or whatever and the people who are part of the experiment all stand up. Random lab rat person has no idea why they're doing it, but after a couple of times they start standing up too.

Next time you're at the grocery store note the lines. And note the parking lot. People like to cuddle, even when it's less convenient. They will deliberately choose the longer line. EVEN SNOPES has said the "fine people" crap is wrong - and they HATE Trump.

Both sides were - people who want the statues - and people who don't.
In addition to those - were antiFa and Nazis - thugs who wanted violence.

And Trump absolutely condemned them - TWICE - in that speech.

People who perpetuate this story are being WILLFULLY ignorant, because outlets who DESPISE Trump have admitted it is false.

Dear God, I hope we don't elect Kamala. I can think of only a handful of people in politics as idiotic as she is. Sadly, one of them was Joe Biden, who was an idiot even before his mental decline.

EDITED TO ADD -

Most kids I know - high school age or older - do not have any idea who their representative in the House is, can name one Senator, the Governor or anyone other than the President and the Vice President (and only because she is running for President). They can't name one SCOTUS justice, one Cabinet member, and chances are they can't name the head of any other country except Russia, China and North Korea.

I just remembered that in second grade in Pennsylvania, at any time the teacher would ask the class who was President; Vice President; Governor - and - believe it or not - Lieutenant Governor. I remember who the governor was to this day, because she asked it every morning, although I didn't remember the Lt Gov until I looked it up.

I mean - damn - I don't even know off the top of my head who OUR Lt Governor is. Such is the state of our schools.

They used to keep pictures of POTUS, VPOTUS, Governor, LT Governor, and other elected officials in our schools in NC. When I taught I wanted pictures of Bush but was told NO. Then Obama got to simulcast in school during the day. School definitely isn't what it used to be.
