I assume you are familiar with Lourdes, France and Tepeyac Hill (better known as Our Lady of Guadalupe) in Mexico. I would think these fit b23's definition of miracles better. The countless number of healings that have taken place from the waters in Lourdes as well as the Mexico apparition. As a result of that apparition, child sacrifice stopped, 9 million people converted, and there is the miracle of Juan Diego's tilma itself that science has not been able to explain.
