Odd Lights in the Sky

I live about a mile from NESEA down in Saint Inigoes. I was sitting outside looking at the stars. To the right of me which was probably south west, I saw what looked like a "string" of lights in a row, counted them, there were at least twenty two way up in the sky in a perfectly straight line. They didn't get brighter but they were moving slowly like further down in the sky and then they disappeared or faded out until there were just two and then they were gone.

It was one of the oddest things I've seen in the sky in a long time and because I'm near a base I thought maybe something military connected. I was on the phone with someone and he said I sounded upset so not my imagination. Couldn't get a picture of it - just wouldn't appear on the screen.

Any idea what it could have been?

Sep 6, 2023 — The satellite train could be visible between 8:43 p.m. and 8:50 p.m., give or take a few minutes, according to WCNC Charlotte Chief, If it was any other time, it was probably UFOs. lol. ..

Did you see anything? There's a heck of a lot of sailboats anchored off the college tonight.
Nothing, but the site said they would be fainter. Each train makes multiple orbits during this raise maneuver. They are using low power thrusters, which are fuel efficient but take a while. So each successive orbit they are a bit higher and harder to see. Combine that with the efforts SpaceX has taken to reduce their visibility for astronomer's sake and that's why it's best to spot them early. Or go to a place with less light pollution.
