Officer Threatens To Arrest Woman For Anti-Bush Sticker

POOH

Ugly women send me karma.
You would have a hard time in court proving F### is a bad word when they showed Saving Private Ryan on network TV and the word was used over and over.

Sorry, brother - not if it has obscenities on it.
True. The idea that she's some sort of First Amendment poster child is laughable.

Still, the cop was out of line for threatening her with arrest, assuming there was no other cause for the cop to do so (for example, if she was verbally abusive toward the cop). IMO, a heavy fine would be an appropriate punishment, similar to what the FCC has levied against Howard Stern.

Whether profanity is allowed to be displayed on a bumper sticker, t-shirt, etc. in public varies from state to state, city to city, and county to county. I'm wondering if the sticker was actually profane (I'm guessing anything above a "damn") or if it was considered profane because it was reffering to the President in a disrespectful manner. Either way, it is in bad taste to display anything with profane language on it and it seems the officer was being a little extreme by trying to arrest her. As mentioned earlier, a fine would have been enough. It all just sounds silly :peace:
