You posted this in another unrealated thread.

Fried tofu is outstanding :yay:

Exactly how is it that one prepares tofu in a manner that does not trigger a massive gag reflex?
I have tried many ways, cooked by people that swear theirs will be different.. the old, "But youhaven'tt tried it this way, you will LOVE it" Wrong. So far, nasty.

so,, what is your method to make tofu outstanding.

I shall try it and see if it works. ( I assume you speak of firm tofu?)

Firm tofu, press it in paper towels to get most of the moisture out of it. Season it with whatever you please - garlic and a little salt work, and so does something more elaborate, like a Cajun seasoning.

Flour lightly and fry in peanut oil until golden.

Tastes really good, but with a spongy consistency that you may not like. I like it, though. In fact, I might make some right now...

Alright, I'm gonna try it. The way I had it in the past, it was :barf: Like eating lard.

What's with you tofu h8rz? It doesn't even taste like anything, it absorbs the flavor of whatever you season/cook it with. And if you like scrambled eggs, the consistency shouldn't bother you either.

Hot and sour soup is my all time favorite. :yum:

Anything that is tasteless and steals flavor from it's neighbors is just wrong.

Soy is said to boost estrogen levels slightly. For some, that might be a positive; Baron could finally move away from being "undecided".

:yay: You get to shell out money for it, too.

I like tofu when they're in small dices (especially in hot and sour soup). But when they're too large, I'm not a big fan at all.

Good luck, bcp.

Oh, and WTF is Vria? Some hippie chick?

I took him to be teasing her, by purposely misspelling it, as some do when posting her name. (i.e., varia, vrail, etc.) Coulda been a typo, though.
