Must be some of that Democrat logic....

"Change your domestic policy or we won't sell you our....ice cream....."

🤔

How does not selling B&J ice cream in Israel hurt Israel? There are a ton of other ice cream brands that are much better. Maybe they could go bankrupt - that would *really* show those Israelis.

I'd be willing to bet the profit from sales in Israel is less than the cost of a national ad campaign.

It doesn't hurt them at all, except for their "feelings". It's the fact that B&J are jews themselves, and are publicly standing against an apartheid Israel.

They've jumped the shark. Another reason not to buy their products.

Why? These are just two jews expressing their opinion against a Zionist apartheid state that they do not want to be associated with. It is just too funny that B&J, jews themselves, are considered anti-semetic by other jews. "“Ben & Jerry’s decision is a disgraceful capitulation to antisemitism, to BDS, to all that is evil in the anti-Israeli and anti-Jewish discourse,” Lapid stated at the time."

What this tells all, is that it matters not if you are a jew or a non-jew, you do, or say anything critical of Israel, and you will be labeled an anti-semitic.

This is a serious question:

Are you insane?

This is a serious question:

Are you insane?

Nope. Not at all. However, I am beginning to question your sanity. Closing your mind to the facts, and blindingly believing, without question or serious critical thinking, what is an in-your-face 24/7/365 propaganda campaign to keep Israel promoted as a totally altruistic and deeply caring non-violent state.

Here are quotes regarding what I am referring from Ben and Jerry themselves .....

"We believe it is inconsistent with our values for Ben & Jerry’s ice cream to be sold in the Occupied Palestinian Territory (OPT)." "We believe it is inconsistent with our values for our product to be present within an internationally recognized illegal occupation."

"It is inconsistent with our values for Ben & Jerry’s to be present within an internationally recognized illegal occupation. Speaking and acting on our values is neither anti-Israel nor antisemitic."

“The company’s stated decision to more fully align its operations with its values is not a rejection of Israel. It is a rejection of Israeli policy, which perpetuates an illegal occupation that is a barrier to peace and violates the basic human rights of the Palestinian people who live under the occupation. As Jewish supporters of the State of Israel, we fundamentally reject the notion that it is antisemitic to question the policies of the State of Israel.”

So, if one can read between the lines here. What Ben and Jerry are saying, is that they stand against Israel's apartheid policies. I am sure you know the definition of apartheid, which is: a policy or system of segregation or discrimination on grounds of race. Which also, in the case of Israel, includes the indiscriminate killing or maiming of Palestinians/Arabs on a near daily basis by IDF soldiers, and, the turning of heads, ignoring, when "settlers" destroy the homes, olive orchards etc., owned by Palestinians/Arabs which forces them off their lands.

Which by the way, we, here, in the US, have our very own special form of apartheid going on right now. In case you haven't noticed.

I'm guessing here that you only like hearing speech that you agree with? Facts and truth be damned? Your programmed belief sytem has set up a very well made brick wall which does not allow anything past it that is counter to those beliefs. And that? Is a shame.

And aren't you a DeSantis acolyte? Even though he treasonously flew to Israel to sign away the free speech rights of Floridians to speak against the perversion, criminality, and apartheid status of Israel? Why is it so easy for you, and many others, to totally disregard and discard the facts and truth of what Israel has been doing for decades? Why are they always given a pass? Why do you and others constantly give them a pass? Why do you and others blindly support Israel?

You're Palestinian, aren't you?

Are Ben and Jerry, Palestinian? Are members of Jewish Voice for Peace, Palestinians? Are progressive Israeli Jews, Palestinians? Are Jews4Decolonisation, Palestinians? A poll taken that finds a quarter of US Jews think Israel is an "apartheid state", are they Palestinians, too? How about the Israeli jews living in Israel that penned this letter that says in part ....?

"We, Jewish Israelis, oppose the actions of the Israeli government and hereby declare our commitment to act against them. We refuse to accept the Jewish-supremacist regime and call upon the international community to immediately intervene in defense of the Palestinians in Gaza, the West Bank, Jerusalem, the Galilee, the Negev, al-Lydd, Yafa, Ramleh, Haifa and throughout historic Palestine."

"Jewish supremacy is the cornerstone of the Israeli regime, and its consistent objective is to transfer and obliterate the Palestinian people, their history, and their national identity. This objective manifests in continued acts of ethnic cleansing by means of evictions and home demolitions, brutal military occupation, denial of civil and human rights, and legislation of a series of racist laws culminating in the Nation-State Bill, defining the State as “the Nation State of the Jewish People”, and them only."

"All the above effectively form an Apartheid regime creating Bantustan-like and Ghetto-like areas for Palestinian native communities. We believe that Zionism is an unethical principle of governance that inherently leads to a racist Apartheid regime that has been committing war crimes and denying basic human rights from Palestinians for over seven decades."
Are all these jews, Palestinians as well?

To answer your question, no, I am not "Palestinian". I am a full red blood American. I do however side with the Palestinian cause. Does one need to be, have to be, Palestinian, to be against Israel's policies? Asking for a friend.

You know I could be convinced that the Pals have a case. But then you see who they elect for a government and you know they're not going to be serious about ever wanting peace

It's is a very continuous issue for sure. And yes, there is a certain dichotomy to their, (B&J's), words and/vs actions. Also perhaps, the two are playing controlled opposition just to stir the pot? Who knows? But as far as I can ascertain, they, along with many other jews here, and around the world, really really do not like seeing an apartheid Israeli state that treats other people not of their own kind in such an inhuman manner. Over here in the US we call that racism, bigotry, discrimination, and hate crimes. But when it happens to Palestinians in Israel? Nothing? So why the free pass by so many? If it shouldn't happen here, why is it allowed there?

And if they (the pals) actually changed, got a real government not a terrorist organization maybe the Israelis would change their stance, but it’s not in the cards.

I don't know. We, and Israel, may call them, (the PLO), terrorists, but to the Palestinians and others, they are considered patriots fighting for their freedoms and rights. Maybe both are right? Maybe both are wrong? The United Nations, UN Security Council, and the United Nations Human Rights Council, condemns Israel in over 45 resolutions, for their actions and treatment of Palestinians. So something must not be right.

No they’re terrorists, they summarily execute their own people for any thing that they consider a crime. Some of those crimes are just trying to avoid a beating by an Israeli. The Israelis on the other hand have an issue with having enemies on every corner, if they ever let their guard down would have hezbollah and the Iraqi guard in a race to see which one could slit the first throat. Moving on to the UN, they’re a joke. They’re as bad as uncle joe at selecting members of the human rights council. They’ve selected the worst violators as members. Why we haven’t sent them to Europe all ready is beyond me.

At least they can sell to the palestinians. Their ice cream will be tasty after launching a few missiles into israel from the palestinian sites that are using schools for cover.

If B&J are really upset they create a Palestinian flavor. That'll fix those mean Israelies.

If those danged Ayrabs would stop trying to wipe Israel off the map, maybe there would be room for more discussion.
