A couple of them, I know why they never married

It's OK if I stay out on the public road and just look in your direction though...right?No interest. I ran into one of them last year and he asked if I was still living in my house, I said yes. Then he said maybe he'd stop by one day. I told him no and walked away.

But if they never married there's a reason for that, either they have issues or just flat aren't relationship material. My neighbor got divorced last year and reconnected with her high school crush and he's like....I'm trying to be nice here.....he's ick. He may have been all that 45 years ago but now he's a loser and I have no idea what she's looking at because he's not particularly nice to her and she doesn't seem happy with him. Yet here he is.
My high school unrequited crush is a loser, too. He peaked at 17, which is pretty sad.
Most of the ones I looked up, and some of them took effort - they did ok. They finished college, sometimes law school or med school had families. And some got divorced too. Sometimes it just made me smile to know life turned out fine.
Just feels sad to me that a few live alone, never married.

Don't be sad. They are probably the happiest people you know.
Personally, I would have rather been a widower than divorced, at least I'd know where the whore is every night.

When I went to my 30yr HS reunion I asked my old crush to be my date (he was in the class ahead of me). I was like, why has no woman snapped him up?? Yeah, I found out right quick why.
Fun guy but definitely not someone you'd want to be legally beholden to.Ran in to an old flame by accident during a layover in Newark, NJ. It had been over 20 years. We chatted over coffee. We were both happily married, had kiddos, and were living the dream. It was good to catch up and at the end we both admitted to still loving each other but not like we loved our spouses and lives. I suppose if we both ended up losing our spouses we could easily resume the relationship but not until then.
