I know. I was joking since it was a High's years ago.

Ive been in Charlotte Hall so long, 40yrs. it wasn't even here when I moved here. Closest Highs was in the New Market Plaza where they had that horrible holdup of the store back in the days when holdups weren't that common.

I remember the one in Hillcrest Heights shopping center. I loved that Butter Brickle! HmmHmm.

P.S. the Sack was Pita Bread, but anybody named OldHillcrestGuy already knows that.
P.P.S. There's a guy on here named CyberCop who knows the original family that ran Steak in a Sack.

Also know the original family. I use to ride my bike up to the Highs in Hillcrest shopping center and always bought butter brickle my favorite flavor, was about 5 cents for one scoop, 10 cents for 2 and 15 cents for 3 scoops

I was just up in the old hood today, my Dad's still in the house that we moved into in 1952. Nothing was there then, we had to go to Suitland to shop for grocery's and just about everything else.

There probably isn't a street in Hillcrest/Marlow that I hadn't either ridden my bicycle down or drove through in a car once I got my license.

Me too. We walked to school then too until I started high school. I know a girl who's Mom still lives in their house up there too. I moved to Charlotte Hall 36 years ago.

Why would anyone want old steak in a sack? I would want fresh steak in a sack if I wanted steak in a sack in the first place.
