It hasn't gotten THAT hot yet, but really much past 106 is JUST hott

Putting towels over your steering wheel yet???? One day in Yuma it was 118. The next day it was 121. I could feel the difference. We didn't walk outside barefoot.

Bring your web capable cell phone when you come! We can PM each other stuff about Mikey while we sit next to each other on bar stools...

I can take pics too and we can upload them onto Kwillia's myspace. :buddies:

Grand opening last night.

I stopped in tonight. I love it!! Finally, a decent place to go close by.

Jason Amy & John are friendly and are headed in the right direction. I figured I'd find one person behind the bar, waiting patrons, cooking, serving tables.....nope. I saw a minimum of 5 people on staff ready to serve you, all wearing Pub shirts.

The decor is sporty / pubbish (yea, I made it up). HD TV's all around, nice, electronically controlled lighting and sound system, very clean. Great atmosphere.

Basic domestics on tap including Blue Moon & Sam Adams. They will be expanding as they learn peoples tastes.

Smaller pub menu and the old bay wings (I ordered the 10 vs 20) were very large, meaty, no breading and seasoned just right.

Jason asked me my thoughts and opinion. I feel they are on the right path. He indicated there will be a reasonable dress code (skanks/bums/sluts need not apply).

I sincerely hope this place makes it. Something like it has been needed for a long time and is way overdue.

KOM, you'll like it.

:yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

We were going to hit it tonight but had entirely too much going on today/this evening. We'll be downtown on Sat. for the free concert (friend's band playing) so we slide in there then.

We still don't walk outside with out shoes, but I have a sun screen and a cover on the wheel already.

Back when we lived in Yuma, the ignition switches were metal and we had no remotes to open the car. We'd go out about 10 minutes before we left work, use a towel to TOUCH the door, then the ignition switch, turn the car on, lock it, and use the spare key to go back and unlock it to get in. It was HOT.....I cringe when anyone out here says "well, yeah, but it was a dry heat." Doesn't matter. 118 - 120 degrees is friggin hot. Pools? They were great in May. Come July, they were not refreshing at all.

No, pools aren't so great. Unless the stupid 18 year olds are down there and screw it up. Which they have done twice, so they have to close the pool and refil it some. And then it's great!

Been thru Yuma yet? If you head to San Diego, you'll pass thru there. Then on to El Centro, where my mom, dad and grandparents lived before A/C......And we complain when ours goes out. After you leave the valley (El Centro, etc), you head up the mountain. When you get to the top, you hit Jacumba. The Shell station there was owned by my uncle forever. My cousin still runs the tow business for the Shell Station. My aunt lives there still. Blink and you'll miss it, but it's the only place to fill up at the top of the mountain.
