All Bark, No Bite? Omicron Variant Symptoms Reportedly Mild

Coetzee first observed patients with unusual symptoms who were otherwise healthy in mid-November.

“Their symptoms were so different and so mild from those I had treated before,” Coetzee told The Telegraph. Coetzee has been a General Practitioner for 33 years, has her own practice, and chairs the South African Medical Association.

Coetzee noticed her patients were coming in with symptoms she said didn’t make sense at first. The diverse group of patients experienced intense fatigue, but none of her patients lost their sense of taste or smell.

“We had one very interesting case, a kid, about six years old, with a temperature and a very high pulse rate, and I wondered if I should admit her. But when I followed up two days later, she was so much better,” Dr. Coetzee says.

It's Already Too Late to Stop Omicron From Spreading Around the World

There’s a note of desperation coming from politicians — especially Joe Biden, who sees a landslide electoral disaster if the new Omicron variant spreads as the Delta variant did during the summer.

But is it too late already to stop the Omicron variant from running wild in the U.S.? The answer is that it’s already here and is likely spreading.

Sixty-five years ago, it might have been possible to contain an outbreak of a contagious virus. Jet air travel was in its infancy, and closing a nation’s borders wasn’t as complicated as it is today.

Fauci appears to have flip-flopped too. Hours before Joe Biden announced a racist travel ban from Africa in the hopes of staving off the spread of the omicron variant of COVID, his chief medical advisor, Anthony Fauci, expressed opposition to the travel ban, claiming we don’t have enough information on it yet.

“Obviously as soon as we find out more information we’ll make a decision as quickly as we possibly can,” Fauci said. “You always put these things on the table, but you don’t want to say you’re going to do it until you have some scientific reason to do it. That’s the reason why we’re rushing now to get that scientific data to try and make an informed decision about something like that.”

Fauci’s position is bizarre, considering he was quick to defend the pause of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine earlier this year, despite a less than a one-in-a-million risk of severe blood clots.

South African Doctor Who Raised Alarm About Omicron Variant: 'Symptoms Were So Different And So Mild'

As I reported on Friday, the Biden administration is restricting travel from eight African countries beginning Monday, after a new "variant of concern," known as omicron, was detected in South Africa. While there have been some extreme reactions, such as from Gov. Kathy Hochul (D-NY), who already signed an emergency order for New York State, the symptoms appear to be "so different," and "so mild." This is what Dr. Angelique Coetzee, the South African doctor who informed the country's vaccine advisory committee, told The Telegraph.

As Peta Thornycraft and Will Brown reported for the outlet on Saturday:
The first South African doctor to alert the authorities about patients with the omicron variant has told The Telegraph that the symptoms of the new variant are unusual but mild.
Dr Angelique Coetzee said she was first alerted to the possibility of a new variant when patients in her busy private practice in the capital Pretoria started to come in earlier this month with Covid-19 symptoms that did not make immediate sense.
They included young people of different backgrounds and ethnicities with intense fatigue and a six-year-old child with a very high pulse rate, she said. None suffered from a loss of taste or smell.
“Their symptoms were so different and so mild from those I had treated before,” said Dr Coetzee, a GP for 33 years who chairs the South African Medical Association alongside running her practice.
On November 18, when four family members all tested positive for Covid-19 with complete exhaustion, she informed the country’s vaccine advisory committee.
She said, in total, about two dozen of her patients have tested positive for Covid-19 with symptoms of the new variant. They were mostly healthy men who turned up “feeling so tired”. About half of them were unvaccinated.
“We had one very interesting case, a kid, about six years old, with a temperature and a very high pulse rate, and I wondered if I should admit her. But when I followed up two days later, she was so much better,” Dr Coetzee says.

White Smoke Emanates From Wuhan Lab Chimney Signaling A New Variant Has Been Named

WUHAN—Thousands gathered outside the Wuhan Institute of Virology with faces of anxious anticipation over the weekend, as rumors had been circulating that a new COVID-19 variant would soon be named. The hopeful pilgrims' hours of waiting were not in vain. Cheers erupted as white smoke began pouring out of the chimney early Sunday morning, signaling the creation and naming of a new COVID-19 variant.

"Nu" was also floated as a possibility, but scientists wanted to avoid the stigma of being associated with nu-metal, generally acknowledged as the worst musical genre on the planet. One guy kept wanting to call it "The One-Der Variant" but this was confusing as everyone kept pronouncing it as Oh-NEE-der instead of Wonder. Finally, there was a last-ditch effort to name it the Trump variant, but this was finally defeated in favor of the safer "Omicron variant" according to sources within the lab.

Is The Omicron Variant The 'Midterm Election Variant'?

On Saturday, Jackson suggested that Democrats will use the Omicron variant to push for universal mail-in voting for the 2022 midterm elections and save their party from an electoral bloodbath next year.

“Here comes the MEV – the Midterm Election Variant!” Jackson tweeted. “They NEED a reason to push unsolicited nationwide mail-in ballots. Democrats will do anything to CHEAT during an election – but we’re not going to let them!”

Reaction to the Omicron variant has been mixed. Some countries, including the United States, have announced travel bans with several African countries (where the variant was first discovered), citing its apparent high level of transmissibility for the decision.

Gov. Kathy Hochul has already declared a state of emergency for New York, even though there are no confirmed cases in the country, let alone her state, yet.

The New COVID-19 Scariant Distracts From Questions We Should Be Asking About Vaccines

While our political leaders embarrass themselves with travel restrictions and the media melts down over the new COVID-19 variant, leaders in Botswana would like your attention. The four cases of the latest scariant are all asymptomatic and detected incidentally. Authorities only tested individuals because they were scheduled for air travel. Likewise, South Africa is seeing an increase in cases but not hospitalizations.

It would not be shocking to find out that Omicron has mutated to become more transmissible and less virulent. Many researchers have predicted this could be the path of the virus as it becomes endemic. Mass vaccination for an illness that causes fatigue and a slight cough for a few days seems a bit over the top if the current assessment holds. Still, the coverage appears to breathlessly hope that the new variant is still dangerous to the elderly to justify their authoritarian biosecurity state.

Why must you be subjected to panic porn because some people in Botswana and South Africa have a cold? Most likely because there is other news percolating up that the establishment elite prefers you ignore in favor of more variant hysteria. As one Twitter user put it, “How cool is it that in order to stop the spread of a new COVID variant, politicians worldwide are going to do all of the exact same things that completely failed to stop the previous ones?”

Scaring you into compliance is much easier for the global ruling class than answering what could undoubtedly be some tough questions regarding the mass vaccination program. Several studies related to the COVID-19 vaccines stuck in preprint status would garner media attention if published in a peer-reviewed journal. The ones in preprint are doctors trying desperately to share their findings, which often counter the mass vaccination narrative. Dr. Ryan Cole has cited several in recent interviews.

WHO: Omicron Variant Poses ‘Very High’ Global Risk

“The overall global risk related to the new variant … is assessed as very high,” WHO said, adding that Omicron “has an unprecedented number of spike mutations, some of which are concerning for their potential impact on the trajectory of the pandemic.”

But a doctor in South Africa said just the opposite. “A South African doctor who was one of the first to suspect a different coronavirus strain has said that symptoms of the Omicron variant appear to be mild and could be treated at home,” according to The Sun newspaper. “Dr. Angelique Coetzee, a private practitioner and chair of South African Medical Association, told Reuters that on 18 November she noticed seven patients at her clinic who had symptoms different from the dominant Delta variant, albeit ‘very mild.'”

“Their symptoms were so different and so mild from those I had treated before,” Coetzee told The Telegraph.

NIH Director Collins: ‘Too Early’ To Know The Answers On Omicron Variant

“We do know that this is a variant that has a lot of mutations – like 50 of them, and more than 30 of those in the spike protein, which is the part of the virus that attaches to your human cells if you get infected,” Collins said. “That is a new record in terms of the number of mutations. It does make you worry, therefore, that it’s a sufficiently different virus, that it might not respond as well to protection from the vaccines. But we don’t know that.”

When asked by Gallagher about the severity of the novel variant, Collins stated bluntly, “We don’t know about the severity. [We’re] trying to collect that data as quickly as possible.”

When asked about the difference in spike proteins, Collins said that the new variant’s spike proteins could possibly lead it to resist the antibodies of the current vaccines and those of previously infected people.

How racist can Brandon get? Wasn't Trump racist for 7 muslim countries?

I think what I found MOST EXASPERATING about the "Trump Muslim Ban" was:

  1. The ban was nearly identical to the list Obama left him - the rationale being that these countries have either very little vetting process or with which we have insufficient or non-existent diplomatic communication with them - such as Venezuela.
  2. Two of the "Muslim nations" were North Korea and Venezuela - neither known for having all that many Muslims.
  3. The remaining nations - even if every person was banned regardless of background - still comprised the tiniest fraction of all the world's Muslims. His travel ban - intened to protect us from terrorism - would have prevented about 1% of the world's Muslims from entering the country while letting 99% of them in - and nothing on any of the bans had anything to do with religion. They were being banned because they were from Iran, or Syria etc.

Of course, all of the travel bans were denounced by Biden as being racist in some way or another. A charge that evidently never applies to a Democrat.

But this is COMPLETELY different. This is a public health issue.
