and Obama's plan is to grow the government. Let's hire teachers and policemen
There's a million new jobs
It seems he thinks the economy works like the money laundering between the democrats and the unions. The government supports the unions, the unions feed dues to the democrats and round and round they go. He seems to forget about how they both suck wealth out of the private sector and without a strong economy the merry go round collapses.
Honestly...where do you people get your information? Every month the BLS Employment report includes government positions. It is not hard to find. You just have to look past Glenn Beck, The Heritage Foundation and Fox News...there really is a whole big bright world of factual information out there for your consumption.
Government at all levels (that would be Federal State and local) has been shedding jobs since the recession began.
State and local governments lost 129,000 jobs in 2009, 262,000 in 2010, and 230,000 in 2011.
Some of the stimulus spending from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act probably kept state and local employment from declining faster in 2009.
The Federal government is also still losing workers: 38,000 over the last 12 months and another 2,000 in July.
So you comment that the President is solely focused on increasing govt employment is flat out false. Had you bothered to read anything other than a right wing blog, you might know that.
And, of course, you are making exactly the wrong argument. (Too be expected when you don't have factualy information, I guess). President Obama, while talking "jobs, jobs, jobs" has done precious little to actually speed up the recovery or increase hiring. His "shovel ready" stimulus was too small to have any real impact. Although the Dems can make a strong case that the idiots in the Tea Party have done nothing to help either.
