... There are major developments out of Darfur, and there is no mention from the primetime newscasts on NBC, ABC and CBS.

Only mention I saw was on the tickers of FOX News Channel and MSNBC. Nothing on the "leading" international news channel that covers international events, CNN.

You need to go outside and play. Kick a ball, throw rocks at a tree, play fetch with the dog, try to sneak peeks at the neighbor chicks by their pool, go in your room with one of your dads dirty magazines and jerk your gherkin, anything young guys are supposed to do instead of channel surfing the news stations.

:roflmao: Pete always makes me laugh and I agree! Yes, Darfur doesn't get enough attention. With the amount of time you spend surfing tv stations and posting about it, you could be writing letters to congress or doing something productive to help the cause. Maybe it'll help ease that tension. :howdy:

I have written to Congress, it's fallen on deaf ears. They're too busy passing bills they knew the President would veto.

So fill us in on what is major things are happening in Dufar, Andy...:coffee:
Peace talks have broken down, U.N. condemned Sudan (I beet they're scared now :sarcasm:), Sudan doesn't recognize U.N., Sudan plans a new offensive against the rebellion, Sudan says they will end the rebellion once and for all, World Court issued arrest warrants for top Sudanese officials, and Sudan refused to hand them over, saying they don't recognize the World Court...

For all you grammar police out there, yeah I know that's too many commas.

The already 400,000 people killed and Sudan's planning this offensive. There's going to be plenty more killed.

:yeahthat:

I've tried to help numerous times. I keep trying to participate in Angelina Jolie's trips to the region. For some reason, my contributions are continually rebuffed.

Some guy named Brad says something already having enough kids. :ohwell:

When did I say that.

I told Qurious I'm Brad Pitt, since she said some girl said she was 19 on her myspace and it had to be true. I'm Brad Pitt, because I said it on the internet, it's true. :killingme

Now, if we can get a bigger house. Too many kids - THEY DON'T RAISE THEMSELVES. :killingme

Well, I wish you were the only one... :frown: We (economically advanced countries) certainly are failing this part of the world.

You and the UN.
Funny thing, wasn't the bulk of the hierarchy and the Secretary General of the UN form sub-Sahara Africa for like 6 or 7 years? You would think if anyone would have been sensitive to the strife in Africa it would be an African.

you couldn't care less about 40,000+ people being needlessly slaughtered in a relatively short period of time? that's kind of sad. if more people had cared about this type of thing in the past we might have avoided a little thing called the Holocaust.

No I couldn't. I don't find it sad at all. See my other post about all the illegals et al. I'll add the tree huggers to that as well. :coffee:

...to add, no one cared about the folks Sadaam tortured and slaughtered before we went in but look now. :killingme

Oh no, I'm not the only one.

I am the only one with big enough balls to admit it though. :huggy:

Maybe you should shove your “big enough balls” to the side, extricate your head from your azz and look beyond yourself. Are you aware that half of Darfur’s population is children and that about 80 of the children younger than 5 die each day? “Never again” is what the world said after the Holocaust – meaning never again shall we let genocide occur in this world.
