a good story.....

Yesterday, I was in Safeway. I made my purchases and then threw $5 in the Lottery machine..... Ka-Ching, I won $5... ($10.00 ticket) Yahooooo

But thats not the story... As I was waiting for the service cashier (to gimmy my money).... there was a much older guy on a scooter in line with me... His basket was filled with bagged groceries. Anyway he was fumbling thru his wallet, pockets, looking for his credit card. He couldnt find it, so the manager and staff were searching the aisles looking for it.

Another woman was checking out with a cashier near us. She heard what was going on and I saw her hand cash to the cashier for hers and the man's groceries too! She did a "shhhhh" to the cashier and passed by. I had to stop and thank her. She said, "I have one at home like that too"...

We're still looking out for each other.

I have done things like that when I was able to. A lady was upset that she was not able to pay the mechanic to repair her car so she could go to work. I covered it but made sure it was kept quiet. Sometimes I randomly pay for the car behind me at the drive thru. Random acts of kindness. We never know what others are dealing with and the world needs more kindness.

If I may ...
For your consideration ...

It was always fun to do this when going though toll lanes. Then EZ Pass messed it all up.

Every week at Harris Teeter, we round up our bill to the next dollar plus a couple of dollars. It goes to the food bank. I always say the same thing, I never know if next week I may need that help. If I have extra, I like to help out.

I saw a young guy digging through the trash at a Pollo Loco. The trash can was near the exit. I saw him eat what he pulled out. Then he went to the other can and did the same thing. I got a sandwich & drink for him. By that time he had moved along. I saw him a few buildings over. I motioned the fast food bag in his direction. He came over and took the bag. Did a right face turn and walked away. He never said a word to me. No thanks, man, nothing.

He looked normal but may have had mental issues or been mute. I hope he enjoyed his lunch.

Next time I see Greg going thru the Wendy's drive in, I'm getting behind him.
I saw a blurb one day, it went like this... somebody was in line at a fast food place. A jerk behind them was loud/obnoxious and kept blowing the horn for them to pull up closer, arguing with the order taker etc.... The line was long. So, when the writer got to the window to pay, he told the cashier that his best bud was behind him and he was paying for his meal too... Done.
THEN when he pulled up to take his bag, he got the assholios bag too and drove off, both orders, smiling!
