All those issues are important but I chose none. Doctors found no activity in her cerebral cortex. I think that when the cerebral cortex is completely inactive that you are dead. I believe that she has been in heaven the whole time and they have been fighting over a Frankenstein accident of medical science. I'm not anti-medicine but I do think that there is a limit to what it can solve or over come. So what so you do when its gone to far but accomplished nothing?

Arg! :banghead: I’m not sure that I’ve adequately explained myself.

None of the above for me. My mom has had no say over my life since I turned 18, so it would not be a spouse vs parent issue. The federal government has no right to interfere with what is clearly a state issue. My wife knows that the plug is to be pulled on me. I would not want her to pine away nor waste her life waiting for a miracle to pull me through. If I am in a vegetative state, I would rather my wife have a better quality of life. I think the politicians who threw their hats in the ring should pay for their stupidity during the next elections. Just my .02.
