That stuff doesn't sound like a prank.

And not saying it is true, but maybe it wasn't LHS students, there are other schools in the area.

Or vandals?

There have been live chickens released in LHS before. I don't remember peanut butter or oil, but the stairwells were wrapped in plastic wrap that had to be cut through - lots of plastic wrap. The locks on at least one front door had superglue squirted into it. Security cameras had their lenses painted - but not before the stupid criminals faces were visible. And there was damage to the tennis court nets.

Okay, but stairwells wrapped in plastic wrap is kinda funny! Better than under the toilet seats covered in plastic!😁

The chickens were a nice touch. The rest? Not so much. I enjoy what I think is the overreaction to the peanut butter.

About 10 or 12 years ago the Seniors at Gwyn Park brought in a couple hundred mice and let them go. The Principal cancelled prom.

Not sure I agree about it being an overreaction to the peanut butter. My daughters both have peanut and nut allergies. One of them has just touched PB with her finger by accident and got hives all over her body. Even after washing her hand immediately. She has also been to the hospital for a severe reaction from ingesting a sauce that we didn't know had nuts in it. If they had kept all students out because of the PB, then yes, an overreaction for sure, but they just kept the students with known peanut allergies out, and then let the parents decide based on their child's reactivity. I would have let my kid who has had severe reactions come home and would have been pissed to not be told or given a choice.

As for the mice....yikes! Most schools already have them, but good grief don't add more!!!

The same day, or rather the night before, the mice happened at Gwynn Park the Seniors at Douglass ran a full size sex doll up the flagpole and were able to get it stuck. People were driving down Croom Rd., slowing down and then coming in the parking lot to take pictures. The Principal was going nuts. He was going to cancel the Prom, the Grad Night, everything. For some reason I was out of the classroom that day doing "additional Administrative duties as assigned" so I was out at the flag pole. He asked me what I thought and after I stopped laughing told him that it wasn't that bad since nothing got destroyed (like a few years earlier when all the outside door locks had been super glued).

At about that time our lead Security Counselor came out and said he had to scoot over to Gwynn Park to assist with the mouse issue. The Principal looked at the doll and said, "This maybe isn't that bad". He did have barricades put up at the entrances but people just pulled off on Croom to get their pictures.
