Ooma Telo VoIP Home Phone System $79.99
Good price. Also good service. I've had Ooma as my primary home telephone service (using Metrocast for the internet connection it requires) since March 2013 and I've been very satisfied. It took a bit of fiddling with the router setup to give the Ooma box top priority for the network (so my son's constant FaceTime/Skype didn't kill the Ooma quality) but other than that it's been very reliable.

I paid for the plus service, which delivers each voicemail message to my email inbox, and some other side benefits.

I was able to transfer my Verizon telephone number to my Ooma service, so for my friends and family there was no change at all.

OBi202 VoIP Phone Adapter

$63.50

+ GoogleVoice
$0.00/month phone service

Out of curiosity I checked this link and found the following on the Amazon review- I don't know if it is accurate, but it might factor in any decision.

This review is from: OBi202 VoIP Phone Adapter with Router, 2-Phone Ports, T.38 Fax (Electronics)
This is an update. Just learned that Google Voice will no longer support Okitalk after May 15, 2014. I made an investment of over $130 in the Okitalk plus the wireless adapter in November 2012. By May 15, 2014 the device will be an expensive paperweight. Appears that Oki will not be negotiating with Google either ... Oki owners buying for Google Voice capability have been left in the dust by the company. We've had fairly reliable service to date including fax capability. May 15, 2014 brings an end to that service through Google Voice.
