Saw Robby Gordon hit the water barrels at Richmond when he made a late decision on pitting in early 2000s. It was hilarious, shot a water spout across the track and soaked the first few rows of seats/fans.

We were halfway up in turn 4..Also, we stayed at the Jefferson Hotel and sat in the bar after the race along with Robbie's pit crew..Asked one of the guys what the hell happened..and just shook his head and never replied. The guy did tell me that Robbie's team treated his pit crew better than anyone else in NASCAR. Getting them rooms at the Jefferson backs that up, not a cheap hotel.
Stayed at the Omni after one race and closed down the bar with Rusty Wallace and Brad Daugherty. Had season tix for 15 years, always had a great time in Richmond.
