If I may ...

To question 1: At one time, yes. Many dissatisfied vendors constantly bemoaning with their concerns to management that fell on deaf ears. 2. Again, at one time yes, the place seemed nearly void so many vendors left leaving many sporadic spaces empty leaving those remaining being allowed to expand into some of the empty spaces a bit to have merchandise hung in walls to cover those bare walls.

The original pull for those vendors was the live auctions that brought hundreds to the auctions every week and hundreds others during the week for those to view what was being auctioned prior to auction day or to drop off items to be auctioned allowing many to visit those vendors.

I've known a couple of vendors that, though they had plenty of quality merchandise, could not get enough sales to cover the rent on their
booth space due to lack of customers/people visiting the market.

For many, some, not all, businesses, once out of sight, they are out of mind to customers unless there is advertising to remind them of the business. I'm sure in your business, there are not many in your area of operation, due to the skill involved leaving few of your type of business, which makes your business stand out, and obtaining that advantage having an unnecessary need to advertise to those that need or require your services, simply because of word of mouth in the industry you are in. However in the world of retail, of which these vendors belong, there is far more competition for those consumer dollars necessitating the need for advertising.

I am not bashing those vendors. They offer many fine products, personally made, or repurposed, or saved from the dump and cleaned up to live again in someone's house or business such as fine furniture, and more, maintain their booths with pride and accomplishment, are good honest hard working hopeful people, trying to make a small income for their endeavors. The problem, (opinion), I have, is with the management that cares not one iota to bring in more visitors to the building to support the vendors, though would say otherwise only as lip service.

So that was you? Awesome. Was it you that would also wear funny and different hats or a crazy wardrobe at times?

I have had LR on ignore for quite some time. He used to bash me occasionally when I had my B&M store. And in general, his attitude and being a dick got on my nerves and I don't miss his nastiness.
Yes, I agree they should do more advertising but I also acknowledge that in all the years I had my store, no matter how much money I spent on ads, it was questionable whether I got a return on them. I think my store got more "free" publicity and traffic when we had pet adoptions and pictures with Santa.
Regardless, I am not ashamed to self promote my latest venture. In the event that I don't feel my presence there is fruitful, there are options. Though the holiday season is winding down, there will always be craft shows. Ebay, Etsy, etc. I do have money invested in some antiques and junkety junk but that can be sold online or at a yard sale as well. I do expect the marketplace to slow down in the coming months and I will wait to see whether I stay or go.
Though the auctions are online now, the auction house still generates some traffic. I go in there at least once a week to look at items or pick up things I won. There are always people milling around.
Anyways, thanks for the support and kindness. Nice seeing you, Bann, and meeting you, Bobwhite. Sorry I missed you, GregV814.

Some people just have thin skin. I don't recall picking on you per se, or bashing you. As far as advertising, I read somewhere that advertising works 50-50. It's just difficult to figure which 50% works. Do you know why Wrigley's Spearmint Gum was so highly successful? Because of constant advertising.
