But the governor there has taken the shopping ban to new heights.Looks like Annapolis won't be the first one......
Michigan drivers jam capital to protest coronavirus stay-at-home order
Similar to when the government shutdown during the obama reign of terror. He erected fencing around the all weather monuments in DC. Make things as painful as possible for the citizenry. But the governor there has taken the shopping ban to new heights.
Even if the store has say paint, you can't purchase the paint, just what she says are essentials.
This is all tied to presidential politics. !. make the disaster as bad a s possible and label it (with the MSM) as Trump's fault.
2. move for mail in ballots for the general election. Something easy to corrupt, particularly when you have a large "undocumented" population.
Tru Dat and then they will all claim I dint do nuffinThat's a good idea! And awesome that our brethren and sistren in Michigan are doing it.
My LW was cautiously noting that in our dear MD, any call for civil protests will be taken as an excuse by population north of us to "bust chit up and burn the motherfuka down", and of course that's what the media will focus on.

I agree, just drive around the governor as he is the idiot in charge. If I'd planned this I wouldn't hold it downtown, I'd take over the area surrounding the state capitol and Governor's mansion.

My 2 cents, but I believe most people will play along with the mandates at least until May 1st. After that, all bets are off. Small businesses won't be able to take this much longer, especially since all the Fed and State programs that are supposed to take care of them are already out of money. And many of our local businesses have not seen a penny yet, if ever.
My guess is all those "non-essential" businesses will start quietly opening, following the social distancing rules the big guys have implemented.Especially when it starts to get warmer out on a regular basis. Folks are going to want to get out and do stuff. And when pool at beach season is supposed to open up, this stay-at-home stuff is going to be getting very old.

That is what's considered to be downtown Annapolis. At least that's what I thought. I'm talking the area there around State Circle, the Waterfront, and the Naval Academy. That's general area. Is there another actual downtown area of Annapolis?
