Walmart.com - Always Low Prices!
I want a point and shoot 8-10MP or so that is a good camera. I'm not a "photographer" just a regular camera user. My price range is $150 tops. If you can find a better camera please do. I've never had a Kodak so I'm ot sure about quality. I have a Fuji now and have heard that Canon and Olympus are good.

If your just looking for a regular point and shoot to snap shoots of stuff, it looks ok. To find out more go to google, and seach for reviews on that camera. See what the reviews say.

pretty black roses
I just bought a Sony Cybershot about a month or so ago and it's good for what I need it for....just taking pics of kids, outings, concerts, ect.

Today, most cameras in the same price range have very similar features and take pictures with about the same quality. What I've found is that cameras are now so intelligent that a major part of the decision is how well the menus work, how easy or not it is to get a particular function, review pictures, etc.... battery life...

I have a Casio (not trying to sway you here...) and really like the ability to get easy access to menu items and such. Kodaks are generally pretty intuitive that way too. If it's an Easy Share, it's pretty easy to use the dock, decent software too.
(buy a Kodak, support my brother who is the Kodak international account manager to Walmart..)

Like was said above, the best thing to do is read reviews from people who have one.

Methodically disorganized
Be sure to find out if that price includes the memory card. Places can be tricky like that.
Reminds me of the "Lucy" episode where a door-to-door salesman convinced her to buy a vacuum cleaner that included "the works" for a great price. Afterward she found out "the works" was literally just the motor, not including the case, power cord, hose, etc.

I have a couple canon P&S Cams---I have had a great time with them---IMHO--it's what feels right to you---how the thing functions, are your hands(fingers) big? Is it just for the "important family stuff" or a progresive hobby your in pursuit of? Do you have a an unsteady hand?--better consider the cameras with IS so you get clear shots. Vision problem?--look for cameras with large screens--Nikon has a coolpix that is touch screen--the entire back of the camera is a screen(very cool but above your price limits) -THEN see what fits you in your price range and go try them out--Just FYI--some places have them on display but they aren't powered up(office depot in PF for example)
Sounds like work HUH?! The choices are many but your needs are the priority. Canon, Nikon, Olympus--they all make great cameras--my personal experience and preference is Canon.

Here is a great site with reviews of many cameras, the reviews are very indepth.

My recommendations are either the Cannon SD1100 or the A590IS.
