HPV infection was found to be a much stronger risk factor than tobacco or alcohol use, the Johns Hopkins University study of 300 people found.

The New England Journal of Medicine study said the risk was almost nine times higher for people who reported oral sex with more than six partners.

Typical media blast to scare the hell out of everyone. No real proof of a link yet. Sample set is too small = 300. They even mention that in the article. Might even get it just from kissing. Basically the article says if you have any contact with another person you might get HPV from them.

Either way, it's still better to play safe unless you're in a long monogamous relationship.
