DQ wants her room "Tony Stewart orange" but that's just NOT gonna happen. My luck, I'd do it, and 6 months later she'd decide she wants to be more girly and have pink or some crap.

I hurt all over, and I am exhausted. The gold doesn't cover for shiat. I had to put 4 or 5 coats. I still have to connect the stripes is the corners but I was terrified if I left the tape on any longer I would pull off chunks.

Only one place did the paint come off with the tape and that is behind the door. It took off the burgandy, the blue under that and the pink under that. Because it is behind the door I will worry about it later.

do you have a small, artists paint brush? It's good for the detail work near the stripes. Most of all, do you have a steady hand?

Crabcake, have you thought about hanging fabric on the walls like wallpaper (it's really simple) My son wanted dinosuars and my girls wanted soccer when I re-did there rooms, for the same fear I hung fabric. It came out beatiful. This was something I learned when I was renting, because it is put up with liquid starch so when the kiddo doesn't like it anymore rip it down and wash the walls, done....

My son is into all sports, so his room is divided; one wall is all baseball (mostly Orioles), one wall is all football, one is all basketball and one is all racing. :shrug: And Lord Stanley, he has hockey pucks and sticks on his dresser...

Steady hand? Depends how much coffee I have had. I bought a foam brush and it seems to work pretty good on that stuff. I am going to finish it up today. The only thing left is the gold strips in the corners and the closet trim.

Done Otter and I went and got the furniture today and it is finally done. Just in the nick of time.
