Panarama mode

My new Fuji Finepix S1000 has a panarama mode that stitches 3 seperate frames together. Got to try it out on this last trip to Maine.
Anybody else use something similar?

I just use programs on the computer to do panoramas.

My Coolpix has the same feature, but I've never tried it out. Guess I'll have to now!!!

Can't you get just a much with a fish-eye lens? I really don't know the answer to that :shrug:

Yup, my old camera was the Coolpix. Loved it

Fisheye lenses will have a more distorted image and it will result in a lower resolution image.

I never quite mastered shooting panorama shots with my digital camera/s.

I can never get the first and second frames to appear seamless.

Any tips? I've been sitting on some ideas for a while that require panorama shooting.

When you shoot the image try to over lap by about 1/3-1/4 of the prior image. I don't know what mode you shoot in, but locking the metering helps as well.
