Either you got the wrong thread our your wasting your time in those special ed classes.

Gopher, i believe yardsalequeen was replying to smddavis post in this thread where he posted " I was at Panera today at 10 am, and ordered the "soup for a group" combo. It was yummy! I always get the chicken noodle!

Well, after eating and clearing my table, I settled down to work on my blog about my quest for a footlong chili-cheese dog in SMC. I spread all my data sheets for all the restaurants I had visited so far, when I noticed some broad staring at me like I had killed Caylee Anthony.

Which also relates to another thread he posted on here.

Heck, I was just minding my own business... "

BS...it's allegedly a restaurant not a cyber cafe. And the big deal is if you want to sit and do work over WiFi...and you are by your self...take a table for two and don't waste the space that other people could use.

Maybe some folks avoid restaurants like Panera because ASSHATS take up space that other people could use to actually eat.

Excuse me. I've misunderstood all the marketing/advertisements I've seen/read.

I enjoy their food and have no need to sit down with a laptop.

If I ever have work to do again on the road I will go to Panera (or Starbucks)

They cater to the business people.

It is a "Cyber Cafe" with good food (carryout)

STFU. This person was there first. Sometimes people want to go to a place such as Panera and relax. Read the paper, surf the net. If you don't like it, go around the corner and choke on a greesy cheesburger!

I think what Gopher was referring to is called common courtesy. If you as an individual / one person want to go there and and surf the internet, why take up a 4 person table, instead of taking up a a one or two person table. Don't get me wrong i understand your post which basically says courtesy is dead and consideration is dead and that greed and selfisheness rules in todays society. sad state of affairs. I really like your abbreviations in the start of your response... It really made me pay attention to your response.

Wasn't Gopher thinking of himself and his party rather than the needs of the guy who obviously had his spreadsheets out on the table? Maybe this guy is doing the best with what he has and using the resources which are available. Maybe he was meeting a client and had to prepare. Maybe he just was doing what was offered by the establishment.

You say it would be courteous to move, but maybe it's rude to assume his purpose is less important than gophers.

Ah! Another IGNORE worthy candidate hits the forums.

I didn't say my needs were greater. I was mostly pointing out that there were other tables available that would accommodate him and his laptop and that he need not impact the ability of other diners to find adequate seating nor the potential loss of profits to the establishment.

And BTW I wasn't being a rude prick in my observations or statements.

Now on to that convenient ignore function.

That one is already on my iggy list. Go with your gut here. :lmao:

As for Panera, I like their (somewhat overpriced) food, but if I go there with my family, order food, and then can't find a place to sit - my first order of business will be asking a table hog if they wouldn't mind sharing. If that failed, I'd ask the manager for a refund.
