I stopped pretty much after my youngest was 5y/o.

He had the best lips in all the world at age 3-4y/o. He was so manish (bossy) but cute as a button and with a constant disapproving face regarding the behavior of his older brother. He'd be tattling and all I'd see is his kissy lips. He was more of a little informant than a pre-schooler. Old before his time.

I kiss everyone on the lips. Even my cousins and my gramma:shrug:

Now you gone and made me feel weird about it:frown:

:yeahthat:

My Mom was very affectionate with us kids, I never thought a peck on the lips was odd I guess. My kids are growing up with all the kisses and hugs I can possibly give them.

Peace
I kiss them on both. It's different for a mom though. My 10yo just kissed me twice on the lips yesterday. I kiss Celie on the belly alot, and I still eat her toes.:lmao:

My youngest kisses me on the lips before she leaves for school and before she goes to bed...I know it will be stopping soon, her age is 10, and now it's "uncool" to be seen with mom and dad...lol. My two older ones just give hugs now. I see nothing wrong with either way really....as long it doesn't continue when they reach teen years.

I can't deal with on-the-lip kissing between family members...just seems weird to me. I think even my sister does that with my grandma, I wouldn't want to though, just strange IMO

my daughters 4 and still gets kisses on the lips. shes really cute about it. my boy's are 5 and 7 and usually in too much trouble to deserve any praise :lmao: but its usually the forehead or cheek when i'm on the way out to go back home. guys just don't kiss each other on the lips IMO. i don't remember when that stopped. maybe around the time they were potty trained.

daycare is requesting you kiss her on the cheek??? why?? its your kid. i

:lmao: I remember the first time my daughter did that to her daddy - he was mortified! Of course, she was an infant giving open mouthed kisses!

I didn't vote, because it's hard to say - I've never really thought about it. My daughter is 3 now, and from learning so in daycare is already requesting that I kiss her on the cheek! But sometimes she will still kiss me on the lips - and I think it's so cute!

For some reason I don't think it's cute to picture kissing on the lips as a teenager! Maybe that's because I can't imagine kissing my own mother on the lips!

I know a guy thats like 44 and his mother is in her 70s. He still lives with her and she takes care of everything for him, even his checkbook.

I think they hump.

I think thats just wrong that they do that.

My Dad comes for coffee, almost every morning. He always kisses me good-bye when he leaves. And I get a hug, too! :yay:

I think it's up to the kids what they want. My husband kisses our oldest on the lips and youngest on the head. I kiss oldest on cheek and youngest on lips.

So happy!
My family is (mostly) German so greetings and goodbyes consist of a curt nod and brisk handshake.

My wife's family is Italian, so greetings and goodbyes consists of pinching, kissing, spinning, hugging, squeezing, slobbering, eating canollis, and talking about how uptight the ####in' krauts are.

I'm German to (mostly) so that must be way I don't really remember kissing anyone in my family. The little one is 6 and we love giving kisses on the lips to eachother. She is starting to get to where she doesn't want to do it in front of other kids though :frown:.

He is just wrong on so many levels. :roflmao:

With the talks of grandma lip locking, I just remembered that I have an older lady co-worker who loves to kiss and hug me. I love to kiss and hug her too. But, not on the lips. Not sure if that is just uncoordination or she's trying to plant one. I always push it out of my mind afterwards for safety purposes to my mental stability. :lmao:
