Maybe you don't have to take off your shoes in Spain

Hi jacker catches a beat-down

This is what happens when you try to hijack a plane after 9/11:

It worked. The man was standing in the middle aisle when the pilot carried out his maneuver, and he fell to the floor, dropping one of his two 7 mm pistols. Flight attendants then threw boiling water from a coffee machine in his face and at his chest, and some 10 people jumped on the man and beat him, the Spanish official said.

This is a fantastic story. Quick-thinking pilot and brave passengers & crew.

Was it a national flight? Security in a lot of countries is REAL lax when it comes to flying within their own country or other countries not too concerned with security. You should hear some of the stories I hear from flying commercial around the mideast, luckily I haven't had to fly over there yet.

When I say lax, I mean no metal detectors to walk through, no x-raying of baggage, carry on or checked, no removing shoes..
