Pat Robertson Predicts!

I'm thinking there is a good reason why we made it to past noon without anyone bothering to start a thread about this...

If God is telling him this stuff, then he should have a perfect record.

DId he say anything else like, "...unless I can raise 10 million dollars before the 15th of April, open your checkbooks and save us all!!"

OOPS someone forgot to sign out of the "home computer" again!!

Thanks Pat Robertson for implanting the idea of a major US attack in the terrorists heads. :sarcasm: They watch CNN too in case you didnt know.

Pat Robertson said Tuesday God has told him that a terrorist attack on the United States would result in "mass killing" late in 2007.
Like that's a tough guess  As soon as the dems start pulling the troops back home the terrorists will follow.

Pat Robertson is on dangerous ground. If the prophesy, and that is what it is, does not come true, then he is a false prophet. According to the Old Testament, he should be put to death (No, I am not advocating that.).
Deuteronomy 18:20-22

20'But the prophet who speaks a word presumptuously in My name which I have not commanded him to speak, or which he speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet shall die.'

21"You may say in your heart, 'How will we know the word which the LORD has not spoken?'

22"When a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the thing does not come about or come true, that is the thing which the LORD has not spoken The prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him.
If he is a false prophet, then no one should pay any attention to anything he says ever again. In reading the article, seems Pat has already prophesied falsely.

Robertson might be funny if he didn't use people's senseless deaths for his crusades, like he did with Hurricane Katrina. I've heard many Christians describe Robertson as a disgrace to their religion, and I appreciate them saying that. I notice that ABC Family still runs "The 700 Club" even though Robertson no longer owns the station. I wonder why Robertson still seems to have a huge base of support.

well... the question arises... dead physically or death spiritually... will God strike Robertson down for prophesizing incorrectly?

I'll be interested to see what happens if this all unfolds as he said it will... in all honesty, what happens if this comes about? will everyone go "Well, it was only about time for it to happen" or will this bring more people to God? I'm not worried about the here and now... I'm worried about what happens when 2007 is over and we've either had another attack or haven't... I don't go to Robertson for my spiritual advise and reassurance anyway... I go to the bible...

Perhaps if we were fighting the terrorists and not moderating a civil war.

It's amazing. Someone predicts a terrorist attack and instantly, it's the Democrats' fault.

So let me tally this up: 9-11, Bill Clinton's fault. The deficit, Bill Clinton's fault. Failure in Iraq - the Democrats' fault.

OK I see now, anything and everything bad that happens to the United States is the fault of the Democrats and the Democrats alone. Now I think I've got the flow of how it works...
