How do you convert a PDF file to a word file or can you?

How do you convert a PDF file to a word file or can you?

You have to have Adobe Acrobat (not Reader) or some other 3rd party software.

I think there is a way with the new Adobe Reader to select the text, and do a Ctrl C, Ctrl V (cut and paste) to a word document.. but you lose all your formatting you're just bringing the text over..

but I maybe wrong, if that doesn't work, then you need Acrobat ($$$$)

If you don't use an OCR software to convert it to Word, the text will not be editable.

I use the drop down menu that says "Convert to Word" for all of my pdf's

Print it and then scan it. You'll have either a bitmap or jpg file you can insert into word.

Resolution won't be the greatest.

That also depends on the permissions. But there are ways around the permissions...

jazz lady is correct. i have adobe acrobat professional at home and one of the export option is MS Word. Acrobat Reader does not offer this option as its only function is to allow you to read .pdf files.

We HAD the software here at work Someone borrowed it before it was installed on any ones computer. We have the box....no CD

Someone was able to hook me up and convert if for me

When you scan it, make sure you scan as editable text. Make sure you look the document over carefully and check for dropped words and spelling errors.

and by the way, you can use acrobat to do the file thing.
but you need the whole registered version.
