That's all boring stuff...you gotta come up with something interesting, like tuna and jelly or something.

I had a nasty joke but I realized that most of you probably have not eaten lunch yet. I'll wait.

HELLO POT!
Oh pooh

My kids would say, "Can I have a ham and marshmallow fluff sandwich?" and I'd say, "Sure." If they didn't eat it, who cares? Now they know they don't like ham and marshmallow fluff, even though marshmallows taste good on sweet potatoes, which are served as a side dish to ham.

My husband used to eat tuna mixed with baked beans when he was in college. :barf:

That's right, wheat bread, organic crunchy peanut butter and a slice of American cheese.... Yesterday the fellas and I did a bunch of running around early on and then worked in the yard in the later part of the afternoon. We go inside about 5:30 and I get the babe cleaned up. He was so tired from missing his nap that he passed out on the floor watching tv while I was getting ready. It was close to 7:00 so I took him upstairs and put him in his bed. 8 rolls around and I take bigger pig upstairs to get in his bed. Of course he yapping while we're brushing his teeth and baby pig wakes up and is hungry.

Downstairs we go. I ask him what he wants and he says he wants a sandwich. I ask him if he wants peanut butter or ham and cheese. Peanut butter and cheese. Ummmmm, no. I make him a peanut butter sandwich and give him a slice of American cheese on the side. I leave him with his dinner while I go to change out loads of laundry. I come back and he has put the cheese on his sandwich and is chowing down. I swear there's something wrong with that kids' tastebuds! :barf:
Sometimes Joshua puts goldfish crackers on his PB&J.

Well I still don't see it as being overly controlling. That would have been waking him up at dinner time to eat with the rest of us, or not asking him what he wanted and insisting that he eat the leftovers from the meal that I had prepared, or insisting that he either have a ham and cheese or peanut butter sandwich and not trying to compromise by giving him peanut butter with the cheese on the side.

It was after 8:00 which is after his bedtime and I had done yardwork all afternoon. I didn't feel like #1 wasting food and #2 making a second sandwich when he didn't like the first. At two he's lucky he even had a choice.

I can even kinda see that. They're salty. Like the cheese and pb crackers. But cheese, plain cheese. That kid is straigh strange though.

The first time I gave him cantalope he didn't like it at all. The next time he had it we were having grilled chicken as the main dish or something similar that I use ranch dressing on and he had to have some. It had been a while since he'd tried cantelope so I put a piece on his plate. He dipped it in his dressing and chowed down. I asked him if he wanted more and he did. He tore it up. :barf: And I thought my granddad was strange for putting salt and pepper on it.
