Peanut Butter....

SoMD_Fun_Guy

Do you like apples?
I used to get Smucker's Goobers. It has both PB and Jelly in the same container. Problem was there was never enough Jelly and I'd scrape the jelly from the side and eventually there was nothing but PB... :ohwell:

I always thought that was a poor choice in a name.
'Course, could be cuz I knew kids that used the word "Goobers" to describe the thick, slimy, green snot stuck in someones nose or the thick phlegm kids would spit out when they had a cold.
Either way, it's not the image I want to think of when buyin PB&J!

Peanut butter cups....
YES! After trying many of the PB's on the market, I've narrowed my fav's down to 2: Skippy's "Natural" PB and Smart Balance's Rich Roast. I try to stick with the most "natural" unprocessed brands and these 2 fit the bill overall. They have less than 3 or 4 ingredients and no HFCS or hydrogenated oils. Skippy has some sugar in theirs but not much. Since I usually eat it in very small increments and not in sandwiches, it's just right as a "sweet" IMO...

Can you grind your own peanut butter at the Trader Joe's in Annapolis? I really really want to go up there but (a) driving 1.5 hours for snacks is slightly inappropriate and (b) I will get addicted and want to go up there once a week.

Can you???? Can you make flavors? I'm going to have to investigate this. Sounds like we should plan a visit and hit Ulta while we're up there!

I don't know! I know you can grind your own PB at some TJ's locations but don't know any of the details.

I didn't used to like it either and I still won't eat PB sandwiches, but I have cultivated an intense love of peanut butter.

Have you ever tried a "Fluffer-Nutter?" (Insert laugh here)
Use whatever bread you prefer. Spread one side with any chunky peanut butter; the other side with marshmallow cream.
You can actually feel your middle getting bigger as you eat one.

Yum

I don't do it anymore because I try to stay away from potato chips, but I used to put potato chips ON my peanut butter sandwich. (no jelly)

I still put Chips on my Peanut Butter, and just LOVE it. I know this sounds sickening, but make toast, put a thin coat of butter & Cream Cheese on one side, then Peanut Butter on the other side. What a great Sandwich, and treat that is.:cartwheel

When I was in the Navy, I worked with a guy who brought cream cheese and jelly sandwiches (on toast) for lunch every day. EVERY day for the 3 years I was there. They were wrapped in aluminum foil, which he used to fold back up and reuse, along with the napkin. Seriously frugal guy. I worked up the nerve to finally try one one day (not his, one of my own making, that cheap bastige) and it was very good! Not everyday-for-3-years good, but good.

I LOVE grilled peanut butter sandwiches. Made like grilled cheese, the peanut butter is warm and gooey and melts in your mouth.
YUM
