My heart broke over that. Pets (at least, dogs) are unconditionally loyal. People need to learn from that - and not turn the pets away, like taking a pair of pants back to Wal-Mart because they're "too big." GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!! :
Thanks. I looked into rescuing a Great Dane puppy (Lexie who is 6 months old) but I live in a townhouse and do not have a fenced in yard. Adoptions seem to be requiring a fenced in yard these days. The dog would be loved more than my other half
Don't feel bad...I live on 260 acres and they still require a fence . After visiting the www.magdrl.org website and reading the heartbreaking stories, the fence isn't looking like too much trouble at all. It is amazing that people don't research the breed...the size, medical problems, temperment, so many things that you should know before commiting to a pet. They have a brother and sister that were turned over because they were deaf...would you give up your child because it was deaf?!? Yep....some people just shouldn't reproduce
