I'm sorry. Of all the things that I could have have happen to me in my old(er) age, I just hope it's not my mind/memory. I want my sons to always know that I KNOW and love them. (I tell Thing2 NOW that the things that I do that he calls "cringey" - are the things he will remember when I'm gone. )

I believe with everything that your mom DOES recognize your soul and the essence of you, even if you think her physical person does not.
