Boston-bound flight from San Francisco forced to divert to Denver after plane's wing came apart midair

Passenger Kevin Clarke ultimately landed at his final destination of Logan Airport about 3 hours later than scheduled

A passenger of a Boston-bound commercial flight made an unusual sighting when he looked out of the window and saw a wing of the plane falling apart midair.

Passenger Kevin Clarke said he boarded United Flight 354, a Boeing 757-200 that was departing out of San Francisco and took off on schedule but was told by the pilot that the plane would be forced to divert to Denver, Boston 25 News reported. Then, he saw the problem with his very own eyes. The slat of the plane's right wing was "coming apart" and missing noticeable chunks.

"Coming apart"? Seems a bit dramatic. Sure, you prefer there not be chucks dented and missing, but you could carve that whole slat off the bird and it would fly just fine. This isn't a lack of maint issue, I think.

I look forward to a day when flying becomes a thing of the past. The carbon footprint is off the charts.

United seems to have a robust DEI program. Hmm, any connection?

The connection is that like most corporations, United doesn't give a sh*t about the service they're supposed to be providing or the customers. They only care about squeezing out more profit so they can dole out m/billions to the people at the top. If they can pick up a maintenance crew at the Wawa on the cheap vs. a professional crew that wants decent pay and benefits, they'll go with the Wawa crew. And they'll buy some politicians to ensure nobody holds them accountable.

What should be happening is that We the People hold them accountable, but as I said in the tranny basketball assault thread nobody wants to fight back anymore. We are an Amazon nation and don't care that the CEOs and board members are making billions while outsourcing anything customer facing and revenue producing to whoever's cheapest. And since they're all doing it and they've effectively shut down private businesses, workers have no choice - there's nowhere else for them to go.

The progbot kids whine about predatory capitalism, and yet they are the largest consumers of it.

You should probably tell your ultra rich and well-connected friends as soon as you can. I'm sure they'd appreciate you letting them know.

I've said for many years that it started with Wally World. Good, honest, hard-working, god-fearing, patriotic Americans don't give a good goddamn that their sh*t is being made in third worlds countries using slave labor, as long as they can go to Wally World and buy it cheap.

Those same people also don't give a damn that most of Wally's employees have to collect welfare and food stamps in order to supplement their paycheck, because they are only allowed to work part time hours, at most.

'merica!

Do you never need to travel somewhere? I'm heading to Norway for five days of work in a few months. Should I take three weeks to get there and back? Oh, wait, the week before that I need to be in San Antonio for a week. Like the gun free America you dream of, its just not feasible.

I've seen aircraft mechanics that make $50+/hr that are the laziest most incompetent people you will ever meet.
