From what i've heard, anything made for the studio is their property.

Only exception being something specially created or revised then leased. ( Specialty cars, aircraft etc. ) : * Info compliments of Discovery Channel and a bored viewer.

That would have been my guess.. are you renting a prop, or did they pay you to make it then bought it from you?
