Me personally, I would charge probably $20-$25 because I like pets and generally it's no trouble. In the past, for friends and family, I would petsit for free. They provided food and drinks for the week and the pets really weren't any trouble.

I was just having this conversation with someone today. I have previously posted on here about the difficulty in finding someone to petsit in my area. I finally found someone (and she lives at the end of my road) who charges me $15.00 a visit, twice a day. That's for a dog and a cat. That's actually the going rate.
I seriously considered doing petsitting myself but don't know anyone who would cover my weekends. I need two days off a week - I would even be flexible as to what days they were - but I could probably make a little coin off of this venture if someone would cover for me when I needed a day.
