I'll tell ya when I got mine, I thought I wanted an Ultra Classic but while talking to the salesman, he pointed out the differences. What the Ultra Classic has that the Classic doesn't is: fiberglass lowers (removed during summer anyway), cruise control (do u really need it?), CB radio (see cruise control comment), passenger speakers (Crank it up!!), intercom connections (only used for long distance riding & I bought a set anyway I never have used). So for $2,500.00 less I went for the classic.
Not sure what the Road King costs but I'd recommend the Classic (
you aint worried about $$ anyway ). You get TONS of storage space with the tour pak & saddle bags and you get the am/fm/cd. I'm sure the comfort of the ride is comparable between the 2 bikes.
Either way you'll enjoy. I haven't regretted mine once!! 11K miles and not one repair needed (knock on wood).
