Photoshop "I-process" submissions

Zoooooooom
I have to agree and disagree with a couple comments on here.

1) The original image isn't horrible, but it isn't good. It was quite obviously taken out of moving vehicle. The close hill side is blurry, the telephone lines are distracting and there's a green/yellow cast and there is little to no "pop".

2) Post processing obviously means different things to different people. I take it as anything done to enhance an image without bringing in outside images. If you do something like ... add a bear then to me that's just shopping it. Using the clone tool, levels, art filters, some creative cropping, and a sharpening filter are all post processing to me!

3) There are differences between some images, remember to look at color cast. Some of the fixes appear to just be color balance corrections. :)

I guess it's up to crf as to what is considered PP and what is photoshopped.

I don't think any one would be framing it... but it certainly could have been worse.

If Adobe ever makes a "reverse moving vehicle" effect no tourist will exit their car ever again.

I am surprised no one removed those telephone lines until Inkpen. I think she got just about the most out of it that anyone will.

I don't know if there is a true definition to post processing but I think we are all on the same page. I had a feeling this would come up but I’m not taking the time to try and write hard rules. Yes, adding a bear is shopping, not enhancing. However taking out the distracting electric lines is normal post processing to me. No different then removing a distracting scar off a persons face.

As far as the quality of the original photograph goes that was another tough decision. "You can't make chicken salad out of chicken$hit". To me it doesn't make much sense trying to bring back a really bad picture and that wouldn't have much practical/learning use. I picked an average photo that an average person took in an everyday scenario because it's average. You can see the improvements and the differences in the post already submitted.

Bottom line is it's supposed to be a fun and learning experience. I'm putting all submissions in for the vote. You get to make your vote; you don't like something then don't vote for it.

I am messing with mine at the house and broke my wireless mouse (USB dongle)... I started to mess with taking the lines out but it it really tedious, but it is good practice; I might go back and revisit it...

I loved the Sepia thing so much I went to B/W to play around... we will see how it turns out, but I'm just goofin' with it.

Like I said, I wish I could really learn how to use Photoshop to its full extent...

easyremoval of lines......
open up picture from file as normal.....and then from the dropdown menu "dulicate immage"

in the duplicate immage, magnify almost to the max amount (working at the "single" pixl level is hard to see from the original view)

using the rectangle selection tool "cut out" a section that is (one) pixl length either above or below the area to be retouched

now open the original photo and basicly "paste" the area you just cut from the duplicate and place ofer the power line (since you were working at the single pixl level....is is fairly impossible to see what you dud unless you blow up the pic)
