New to area. Please advise on a good physician. In need of one for myself and children. Would like to find one in the area of either Lusby, Prince Frederick or Lexington Park or there abouts.

Would consider Family Practice, Pediatric, Internal. Needing one that accepts Tricare Prime.

My kids see Dr. Singh at Calvert Memorial. He's awesome! We also have Tricare Prime.

Wait, you guys have Tricare and are looking for a GP that isn't at the clinic? I never had an extra when I was under Tricare. It's hell trying to keep your main doctor up to date with paperwork from specialists, why have two? Dr. Daugherty at the clinic is a good guy. I miss Dr. Wentworth though. He was my favorite.

Hell no. I just tried him and left because his office is run like crap. You can rarely get a hold of a person, they don't return your messages, and they don't even accept messages on their lunch break that's supposed to be from 12-1 and usually runs a half hour late.

I called and left messages two different days asking for confirmation for the date of my appointment, and ended up on the phone all afternoon one day trying to speak to a real person. When someone finally did pick up, I was put on hold for 15 minutes before I could cancel my appointment.

By the way, you might want to consider changing your av. There are people in Southern Maryland with photosensitive epilepsy.

I dont' know if they take TriCare or not but we have been going to Calvert Family Practice in Prince Frederick near the hospital since my son was 2 and he's 12 now. There are several doctors and a nurse practicioner. They are all great. When you go in for your appointment you don't have to wait 1/2 hour either. You are usually in the back within 10 minutes.

Really? Haven't used him since he left the other practices he is with. Had him for about 5 years... loved him and he is great with my kids

Never said anything about him as a doctor, just his office. If I have to deal with them to get to him, it's not worth the trouble.

I like Dr. Cafferty, but I find I have the same issues with his office that they never return phone calls and other same complaints other people have. I put up with it due to the fact I rarely get sick and only really see him once a year.
