i think she is basically calling me stupid for what I did by calling a/c to come and pick up the pit.

I can tell you this i don't want to learn about the vicious breed in any way shape or form. A good pit is a dead pit

If that is her issue... ignore her. You did the right thing no matter what breed it was.

:yikes: I think I would be pretty freaked out if I saw a dog coughing up a lung. You should have called the vet, not animal control :smack:

This is the 3rd similar dog thread in the past few days.
I'm on the fence with this but if I was in your shoes, NO MATTER WHAT THE BREED, I'd be upset too.

that is good that you aren't mad. I am also glad that I am not alone with being upset too. I am still shaken up about this whole situation. I keep having flashbacks to me running for my dear life with the dog as this dog gets really aggressive with lunging into the fence.

Was it 1am or 5:30am? Did the dog leave and then come back a second time??

it was 130am wehn the dog was barking. 530am is when i got the animal warden on the phone and begged him to come get the dog. he did so at 6am and it took him over 20min to get the dog into his truck as the dog wouldn't go near him.

Glad you weren't hurt or your dog. I'm thinking maybe someone's dog in that apartment complex is in season and thats why he scaled the fence. :shrug: I have a little chi-JR mix dog and she scalled a 5' foot fence before but that was at TriCounty but it is possible. Good luck!

Dems we have no pitbulls that live here and there are only 8 apts and a trailor on this land. Only 3 of us have dogs. One is a little chihuahua and the other is a senior black lab and bruno the stbernard.

Me and 2 of my neighbors seem to think someone dumped the dog here that didn't want it anymore as it had no collar or leash or anything on it just the dog. I don't want to have to start sleeping on the couch to be able to hear if people are pulling up out back do something stupid like this.

I didn't imply anyone LIVING there had pits (dog not arm), I implied you might have a dog (not you specifically) living there in the area (the apartment) that is "in season" (in heat). The pit might be picking up the scent of said animal and jumped the fence. Whatever the case, I do wish you luck in it and again, I'm glad no one was hurt! :huggy:
