Places to go in St. Marys

Pt Lookout

-Check out Point Lookout Park one weekend - beautiful beach and historic sites. I think on August 2 the Lighthouse will be open for free tours.

- If you are a shopper, there are several malls within driving distance. Annapolis Mall is very nice and upscale.

- If you are into history, check out the St. Mary's County Historical Society. There may be one in Charles and Calvert too, but I dunno. They run Tudor Hall near the Leonardtown Courthouse and it is full of county documents and geneology stuff.

- SOlomons has some cute shops across from the boardwalk.

- There are a couple of art galleries in Prince Frederick. One of them is just down from the Green Turle (which is GOOD) and I think there's one on the road behind there by the Calvert Courthouse.

- Tons of antique shops if you are into antiques. There's an antique auction every Friday night over at the Chesapeake Marketplace in Calvert. It's a fun, social event. People walk around, there's food.

Let us know what you're into! I'm sure I could think of something for you to do. Also, check out the Community Calendar on SoMD.com. Oh and there's boating, fishing, crabbing...

People are always complaining about nothing to do around here. Seriously they need to get out more!

May I offer my children up? :killingme

If that offer is directed towards me, I should have taken it. It would have kept me from spending so much money this past weekend. I dropped the kid off on Sat. and went to the Hagerstown Outlet Mall for comfort shopping, nice adult dinner and a movie. Then yesterday did more shopping, swimming/tanning, and a movie. Shoot I thought a kid was expensive, I am starting to think I am expensive. I am proud of myself though, barely teared up after I dropped her off. Kids are funny though, she asked that I call every night, so I go to call last night and she didn't even want to talk because she was too busy. Then I told her I want to the pool and she said that wasn't fair.
