Have you tried the park yet on Cove Point Road in Lusby? It's free and they have separate play areas for the younger kids with the soft play surface incase they fall kind of like at the McDonalds playlands. My kids love to go there for the day. We will get pizza to go from the Domino's around the corner and even go swimming at the Parks and Rec pool beside it.

The Parks and Rec pool also has a separate toddler area that is gated off with a shallw splash pool for the little ones.

Have you thought of joining a local Mom's Club? You could have playgroups with other moms with kids of similar ages too. I did that many years ago when my kids were younger and made some great friends and we had so much fun together.
Haven't been there. Thanks for the info.

I think your little one will really enjoy it. Have fun!

I almost forgot ... have you gone yet to Calvert Marine Museum in Solomons? They have a great kids discovery room with a sandbox for the kids to play in and lots of great activities and things for them to play with (puppets, dress up clothes, a play boat, coloring pages, etc.) You can also take them to the touch tank. Don't forget to check out the cool otters swimming around outside and you can see them swimming under water too.

Paint and Pottery in Huntingtown is also fun for the kids to paint on ceramics and then have it glazed. It makes great gifts for grandparents, parents, etc. I had my youngest do handprint when she was one on a tile and it is set in a memory box top and I love it.
