Sorta a side tack here - how about when company XYZ, Inc., does a food recall of 2,000,000 tons of product that didn't identify milk as an ingredient. All 2,000,000 tons are to be recalled and destroyed because a couple progs have an allergy. I don't have that allergy. Most of us don't have that allergy. How about putting big signs over the products saying they also include milk and let the buyer beware? Why destroy 2,000,000 tons of food because it was mislabeled?
When I was a kid, my God-sisters had a dairy allergy. They got to have Kool-Aid in their cereal. Sis and I had to have milk, which bummed us out.

I'm making it my business to not purchase anything that has that as part of the name or description, especially if it's obvious that it's made from "real plants" and I didn't need to be told. Bread, talking to you. And you, oranges. Mascara? You too.

You know who the market is for this labeling though - brain dead progbots who think there might be meat in their avocados, so they'll pay extra for plant-based ones. That's why the body lotion I saw yesterday made sure to tell proglodyte consumers it's plant-based. "Oh, thank god my t-shirt is made from plants and not meat!"

So sorry, Fresh Market, I was going to come in and take advantage of your BOGO brioche buns for my cookout today...until you felt the need to let me know that they're pLanT-bASeD 🤪🤪🤪

For your face paint, the plant-based label has to do with whether or not the product is tested on animals, not whether there is meat in your foundation. This isn’t hard to understand - for the vast majority of us.

So you think honey and oranges might be tested on animals?

Yep, you're a Democrat alright.....

Also you totally made up that bullshit definition. From the NIH:

Yep, absolutely a Democrat.....

It happens that I have been purchasing mascara for about 45 years - probably not the same brands you use, though - and when the product has not been tested on animals, it reads: "We do not use animal testing" or something specific of that sort.

So stop making sh*t up when you have no idea what you're talking about. Just because you're retarded and live under a rock doesn't mean everyone does.

LOL, honey isn’t plant-based you buffoon. No orange anywhere is labeled “plant-based”. You constantly make chit up for “likes” from your merry band of idiot sycophants.

Because if you make really good bread you use lard or butter instead of vegetable oil/shortening.

That’s exactly what it means you moron.

You better run quick and tell the Unilever people.

How do we define plant-based products?

  • A non-animal-derived meat, poultry or seafood alternative that can be used instead of animal-derived products such as burgers, meatballs, sausages, chicken nuggets and deli meats. Examples: The Vegetarian Butcher Chicken Chunks and Unox Vegetarian Hotdogs.
  • Vegan alternatives to products traditionally formulated with animal-derived ingredients. The vegan alternative does not contain ingredients that are derived from, or made by, animals. Examples: Hellmann’s Vegan Mayonnaise, Vegan Knorr Bouillon, Magnum Non-Dairy Ice Cream.

Write them a strongly worded letter. :yay:
