Turns out those ARE Malva. I have indeed TWO kinds of plants, the Malva is identified and I thought this was the same... it is not... Its tall, at least waist high. What is this???? Its in a flower bed, not in the veggie garden. I thought was the same as the other mystery plant (Malva) but it is not. What is this?Third picture is front flower box left side... its tall.

Those really look like holly hocks. They can get quite tall.
Will I need to stake those with my maters?See... too much work for a simple flower... at least veggies you eat - theres' some reciprocity for helping them out
. I don't "do" "highmaintenance" flowers unless its roses, they last.

I never staked mine and they did okay. They are biennials and will reseed if they are happy in their location. Post a pic when they bloom!
I think I need to go buy some more. Mine died out and I loved them!
