Buy your self a few fresh bundles of flowers ( I get them from BJ's )and put them around your house. I did that for Easter and it helps give that "It's Spring" feeling.

I have been wanting to get some potted plants/flowers for my front porch really bad the last few days, but I know it is too early. So I got the fresh flowers for the house instead, it helped some. But I still can't wait to put the potted plants and hanging baskets out on the front proch.

I always wait until the last frost has come and killed all the peach blossoms. Then you can plant anything. Sure as God made little green apples there is always one late frost that wipes out the peach blossoms.

Ok. So I've lived here for almost 3 years now and yet I STILL can't figure out when planting season begins down here! Ok maybe I'm in a hurry for spring, but who isn't? I bought Marigold seeds and would like to get them in the ground. When is "safe" down here to do that?

This is our first spring here so we can't wait to see what comes up in our gardens. We've started to plant some shrubs & ornamental grass, looking forward to getting some flowers planted (guess I'll be waiting 'til May!). So far, I see a whole lot of purple "flowers" all over the place, covering the flower beds. Am I correct to assume that they are weeds and not groundcover? They seem to spread worse than any weed I've seen before. It took me forever to get them out of one bed and I have so many more to get rid of! :bawl:

I've always waited until about May for flowers.

Anyone have a recommendation for the time to plant an Apple tree? I have one already (a Fuji) and I need another help pollinate. I wanted to get it in in time but wasn't sure when that should be.

Ok I have a up coming wedding at a new house and we don't have any plants. I was planning on getting some annuals to put down in the front to make it look better. Any tips on keeping them alive? Tent with plastic until the day of the wedding then put back the next day until May?

Can you keep them in a garage at night and only put them out in the day when it's warmer? If you cover them with plastic, be sure to take it off during the day, or you may kill them. It gets warm under there.
