yeah yeah
Hey there everyone. Just wanted to see what people are saying with those who have had walking pneumonia before. I was diagnosed November 1 with pneumonia. However, had it brewing for about 3 weeks before (mid October) that and didn't go to the doctors because I thought it was allergies. I was treating with OTC stuff, which naturally didnt work- so that is when I went to the doctor.
Either way, was first put on a zpack and a rescue inhaler, didnt do crap. Was then moved on to a high dose of augmentin and to keep using the rescue inhaler. The augmentin made my "body" feel better, but the breathing issues (the not being able to take a full breath) were still present. I called and they RX'd another inhaler which I still have. I have got a "bit" better over time, but still having breathing issues, albeit not that bad, but still there. They sent me to a pulmonologist, and was asked if there was mold in my house. I told her yes and the landlord was refusing to fix it. She said that is what was probably causing my issues. Fast forward to now, we have been out of our place for a week and my breathing issues are still there...
After all of that background.. I guess with pneumonia, how long does it take to get over this mess? For real.. this is so beyond what I ever imagined with pneumonia. Blah. any insight would be good.. (and yes, I have asked the dr and they said it can "take a while") as I have never had or dealt with pneumonia so I am at a loss of what is up.
