Police Enter Man's Home at 3am As A Reminder

When I first read this I got upset.

Then thought about it and concluded that it's better the police did this than some psycho/burglar.

But, that's very unsafe on the officers part.

I have a few guns in my home. One of them is my 9mm that's in my nightstand.

My wife has her revolver in her nightstand.

My dogs alert at anything around my house that isn't 'normal.' A few times I've gone into cqb mode trying to find what the disturbance was.

That's how people get shot...

Oh but it would be your "Fault" .....

I hear what you're saying.

But, if you come into my house unannounced, in the middle of the night, you're going to get 2 center mass.

(it goes without saying that I'd identify my target - if you're not someone I know - you're going down)

 It's Minnesota. Everyone there is retarded, so it's no surprise that the police do stupid crap.

:yeahthat: except mine is under my pillow and I'm not identifying anyone. 2 center mass, then turn on the light to see who the unfortunate intruder is.

I live alone and lock my doors. No one is supposed to be in my room unless I invited her.

There goes the surprise I was going to send you at 12am. Im not gonna send over any hunny now, in fear of her being shot.

Um. Yeah.

The gun under the pillow thing is a little too gung-ho for me.

I did, however, have my gun wedged under my mattress within easy reach, but the wife nixed that practice early on.

She said it messes up that frilly box spring cover crap that we have on our bed. LOL.

Dude, how big is your bedroom?

A siloutte appears in your door and you're telling me they're gonna wait while you turn on a light, open the drawer and shout "HALT" ???? :killingme

BANG!!! You're :dead:

Well.

1) We have a security system with motion sensors watching the front door entrance and angled so that it catches the stairs that lead up to the bedrooms. I have a motion sensor positioned to watch the basement entrance. No one is getting upstairs without setting the alarm off.

2) My APBT and Shar-pei sleep in the room with us and pretty much alert to every sound that isn't 'normal' within our house. My dogs once went nuts because my alarm on my watch went off downstairs.

Hell, I'd probably have enough time to get my Benelli M4 Tactical Autoloader Shotgun out of the closet before someone even got to the stairway.

As a cop, wouldn't you stop and think before you went in someone's home like this for really no good reason, "alot more bad could come of this than good" ?

I get woken up by my wife more often than I think necessary. She's worse than a dog. But that being said, I just can't believe a police officer would enter my house like that. Bet they don't do that in PG County!
