Old enough to remember something that happened 3 years ago? Maybe just say "I remember when", or pick an example that wasn't so recent that I have stuff in my cupboard that hasn't expired that is older.

But they do tell us, all the time. They need to be able to say we said what was going to happen and no one, or not enough, stood against. Because when there is silence from the people, or not enough opposition, it is considered implied consent, since silence is acquiescence. This is how politics is ran today, via implied consent. This is how they get over on the people with unjust laws and policy.
