No, they are saying if you use an AI altered political advertisement of something that didn't really happen you must disclose your skullduggery.

Honestly, people are so freaking ignorant that I'd have no problem with a law - penalty of death - stating that satire and parody must be clearly labeled as such. That would wipe out half of all Democrats
Then make a law that says if news media outlets "report" anything that turns out to be false or greatly embellished, it's a death penalty. That wipes out the rest of the Democrats.MAGA

I don't disagree, but putting them in an El Salvadorian - or any other (as the Company has long rumored to have done to Americans) prison is effectively a death sentence; only not as expeditious.

Not until the Demonrats claw their way back into the catbird seat. THEN, it'll be a whole different thing.
These things take on a life of their own. All it takes is someone with a heavy social media presence to tell a lie or embellish something fairly meh, and it travels within minutes like a wildfire. People *want* to believe and they won't even consider anything that might shake that belief.
Imagine, going to the mat and acting like this because they want political lies protected with no interference.
Maybe that should be the governments disclaimer "THIS IS A LIE, BUT WE KNOW YOU WANT TO BELIEVE IT".
Hell, that should be the opener to every segment on MSNBC.
The Dry Tortugas could be online a lot faster. Same principle.
Too close, too easy for them to escape, whereas ANWR comes with built in escape deterrent like wolves, grizzlies, and Bigfoot, not to mention the climate.
